He claimed that he was leaving a scene where he had pulled over a driver and accidentally left his lights on, and wasn't aware that this is why people were getting out of his way as he tried to get into the carpark. I pointed out that his lights were not flashing when I first saw him and that he had sat waiting for a gap in traffic for a good 30 seconds before they were turned on and, therefore, he was lying.<BR/><BR/>I was asked if I wished to persue the matter with a formal complaint and I declined. The investigating officer said that although there would be no further action taken, he would hold a meeting with all officers in the building to stress to them that this sort of thing was not acceptable.
